Outreach vs Salesloft in 2026: which one wins?

The enterprise sales-engagement showdown. Honest take from running both.

Neil Brookes Updated 2026-06 6 min read

TL;DR

For 10+ SDRs in a Salesforce-first org, Salesloft is slightly ahead in 2026 thanks to deeper Conversation Intelligence integration. Outreach catches up via AI features but feels heavier to operate. For SMB use cases (<10 SDRs), neither one — use Smartlead or Apollo.

Pricing reality

Both start ~$120-180/seat/month for the basic tier. Real-world all-in cost for a 20-seat team: $40-60k/year. Multi-year contracts only; expect annual price increases of 8-15%.

Salesforce integration

Salesloft's SF integration is genuinely first-class — bidirectional sync that just works. Outreach's is solid but requires more configuration. If you're Salesforce-first, this is a real differentiator.

Conversation intelligence (call recording + analysis)

Salesloft acquired Drift, Outreach acquired Sales Hacker — both have built in CI. Salesloft's feels more native; Outreach's feels bolted-on. Either beats a separate Gong subscription if you need CI + sequencer in one tool.

When to pick neither

  • Sales team < 10 SDRs (cost is prohibitive)
  • HubSpot-first org (Outreach's HubSpot is fine but Salesloft's is weaker)
  • You want monthly billing or flexibility — both are annual-only
